Head of Jakarta Youth and Sport Agency, Andri Yansyah directly monitored the preparation of East Jakarta Youth Arena on Jalan Otista Raya, Jatinegara District. The venue will be used for National Student Sports Week (POPNAS) XVII and National Student Paralympic Week (PEPARPENAS) XI.

Andri said that venue preparations for this national-scale sports competition has reached 90 percent without any significant obstacles.

"The next steps are installing banners, booths, and backdrops," he said, Wednesday (10/29).

Andri explained that various preparations also involved army and police, relevant Regional Apparatus Organizations (OPD), and the Indonesian Ministry of Youth and Sports.

"There are 32 match venues prepared for 23 sports branches with 52 hotels designated as accommodation for the contingents," he explained.

He is optimistic that Jakarta will not only succeed as host but also win the overall title. Furthermore, several sports have the potential to win gold medals, including aquatics, athletics, gymnastics, judo, karate, and wushu.

"I advise the athletes to prepare well, don't underestimate their opponents, focus, and have high motivation to be the best," he stated.
