As many as 20 PPSU personnel of Pejaten Timur Urban Village, Pasar Minggu District, South Jakarta were deployed to clean up post-flood mud.
Hopefully there will be no more flood
Head of Pejaten Timur Urban Village, Rocky Tarigan, said flooding of around 40 centimeters occurred in RW 05, 06 and 08 since early this morning due to high intensity rain and the overflowing Ciliwung River.
"The water entered residential at 1:30 AM. Previously, we had reminded residents to anticipate this by moving valuables to a higher level," he said, Tuesday (10/28).
He added that the inundation receded at 7 AM as the rain subsided and the surface of the Ciliwung River decreased.
"20 PPSU personnel were deployed to assist residents cleaning the post-flood mud," he added.
Meanwhile, Sardi, local resident, appreciated the Pejaten Barat Urban Village preparedness in assisting the residents.
"Hopefully there will be no more flood. PPSU personnel lighten our burden in cleaning the mud," he admitted.
