Jakarta Governor, Pramono Anung said that every development project in Jakarta, including market relocation, must always be accompanied by proper social impact management.
It must be handled well
It was stated by Pramono in responding the relocation of former Barito Market traders to Lenteng Agung Fauna Center, Jagakarsa, South Jakarta.
"Social impact will always occur in every development. It must be handled well," said Pramono, Wednesday (10/22).
Pramono explained that the relocation process for former Barito Market traders was underway. He stated that the traders had already inspected the new location. Traders willing to relocate had already chosen their stalls.
Pramono added that the same approach would also be implemented in other places, namely by prioritizing the interests of traders.
"Humanizing people who are looking for work is very important," he added.
Previously, Jakarta Provincial Government through South Jakarta Administration together with Industry, Trade, Cooperative, Small and Medium Enterprises (PPKUKM) Agency and Satpol PP, submitted the third warning letter for traders who were still occupying stalls at Langsat Park, Kramat Pela Urban Village, Kebayoran District, Tuesday (10/21).
This step is part of the gradual process of reorganizing the area, and is also the final deadline for traders to dismantle and vacate their stall independently.
The arrangement is part of an integrated green open space (RTH) development called Bendera Pusaka Park. This area will combine three surrounding parks into a greener, more orderly, and more comfortable public space for the community. The area currently used by former Barito traders is included in the RTH development zone.
