Jakarta City Council's Commission E held a meeting with Health Agency to discuss Regional Regulation Draft on the Jakarta Regional Budget for the 2026 Fiscal Year.
Health Agency's budget is adjusted
Jakarta City Council's Commission E Secretary, Justin Adrian said the Health Agency budget has been adjusted due to a reduction in Revenue Sharing Funds (DBH).
"Health Agency's budget is adjusted from Rp 11 trillion to Rp 10.5 trillion," he said, Wednesday (10/22).
Justin emphasized that budget adjustments must not impact public health services. He requested that the number of BPJS Kesehatan Premium Assistance Recipients (PBI) be maintained, in line with the Jakarta Provincial Government's commitment.
"Don't let the community face bureaucratic problems," he added.
He also reminded the agency to ensure that residents receiving PBI from the central government do not experience administrative problems when seeking treatment.
Justin proposed that the agency cut non-priority spending, such as the procurement of laptops and equipment with excessive specifications, so that the health budget remains focused on improving public services.
According to him, efficiency in various lines is important to ensure that health services are not disrupted.
"The community's right to health services must be a top priority," he emphasized.
