Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung, together with Creative Economy Minister, Teuku Riefky Harsya, opened the Jakarta Innovation Days (JID) 2025 event with the theme 'Explore, Connect, and Impact' at Thamrin Nine Ballroom, Central Jakarta, yesterday.

That is, incremental innovation

This event, a collaboration between Jakarta government and Creative Economy Ministry, will take place from October 21 to October 26, 2025.

In his speech, Pramono emphasized the importance of innovation as a process of creating new value through the development of ideas, concepts, products, and services that can provide better solutions.

"I want to delve into what we will choose in Jakarta as this is related to Jakarta Innovation Days. Innovation is the process of creating new value through the development of ideas, concepts, products, services, or processes, with the hope of providing better solutions," he expressed.

He assessed, an incremental innovation approach is needed for Jakarta's development, which involves planned and fundamental changes to improve existing services and products.

"I prefer to make changes in a planned manner. That is, incremental innovation," he explained.

He went on to say that an innovation does not always have to be new but can solve the problems faced so far. He cited the Jakarta government's policy to dismantle abandoned monorail poles on Jalan HR. Rasuna Said.

"That's something old. If it's not resolved, it will never be finished, and that's not good," he continued.

That effort has also been consulted first with the High Prosecutor's Office. Next, he would promptly issue a letter to PT Adhi Karya, which has rights in the monorail project.

"If they (PT Adhi Karya) ignore it, we (the Jakarta government) will dismantle it," he asserted.

Aside that, his party would also resolve the issue of land utilization at Sumber Waras Hospital.

Creative Economy Ministry, Teuku Riefky Harsya, expressed appreciation for the Jakarta government's collaboration in supporting the national creative economy ecosystem. This event is also part of Friends Creative Economy 2025, which is a series leading up to the World Conference on Creative Economy 2026 to be held in Jakarta next October.

"We thank the Jakarta government for their support and collaboration in activating creative actors," he stated.

He added, this October is also commemorated as National Creative Month, with the peak celebration on National Creative Economy Day and attended by more than 20 cities in Indonesia.
