Jakarta Governor, Pramono Anung said the Jakarta Provincial Government plans to make changes to the management pattern of the Regional Revenue and Expenditure Budget (APBD) next year.

auction process should be started earlier

Pramono has instructed his ranks to expedite the auction process for the 2026 regional budge to address the problem of project backlog at the end of the year.

"The auction process should be started earlier for next year's regional budget," said Pramono, Thursday (10/16).

Pramono added that the central government had also implemented this approach, where the tender process was conducted earlier.

With accelerated spending and an earlier tender process, it is hoped that development projects can proceed more quickly, minimizing disruption to public mobility.

"So with the same pattern, I will encourage everyone not to rush at the end of the year," he added.

Pramono admitted that the regional budget often tends to accumulate at the end of the year, resulting in many excavation projects and physical work being undertaken at the end of the year.

Pramono then cited projects currently underway, such as those in the Fatmawati area and several other areas. However, he emphasized that these projects have been in the planning stages for quite some time.

"The planning has been going on for quite some time, including the so-called cable trap in Fatmawati, which is currently in the public spotlight. It's nothing new," he admitted.
