Perumda Dharma Jaya aims to increase its cattle fattening business capacity from 5,000 cattle in the previous year to 10,000 cattle by 2026.

Next year, we will increase it to 10,000 head

Perumda Dharma Jaya President Director, Raditya Endra Budiman said, this effort is part of the company's strategy to strengthen food security while also supporting the central government's program targeting a population of one million cattle nationwide.

According to him, cattle fattening business has now become one of the promising new sources of income for Dharma Jaya. Besides expanding the scale of the business, Dharma Jaya is also committed to ensuring that the meat supply chain remains stable and affordable for Jakartans.

"It turns out that cattle fattening can become one of the lucrative new sources of income. Therefore, next year, we will increase it to 10,000 head," he expressed, Thursday (10/16).

Besides focusing on cultivation, his party is also beginning to explore the development of processed meat products to expand their business line and increase profitability. The company plans to produce meatballs and sausages as the initial stages of diversifying beef-derived products.

He is also conducting a study on the market potential of other products such as beef nuggets.

"We also intend to develop other processed product variants that have high market appeal. We will later try to study other types of products besides sausages and meatballs," he explained.

Economics and Finance Assistant, Suharini Eliawati responded positively to the strategic steps taken by Perumda Dharma Jaya.

According to him, the expansion of cattle fattening businesses and the development of processed meat products are concrete examples of downstreaming the food sector in line with the Jakarta government's policies.

"This effort not only strengthens the region's food security but also demonstrates Dharma Jaya's commitment to innovate and adapt to the dynamic market needs," he stated.
