Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung stated that public interest in the trial opening of Ragunan Zoo's night tour (TMR) is very high. The queues that formed demonstrate tremendous enthusiasm, not only from Jakarta residents but also from outside the city.
Public interest is extraordinary
"I have received reports that public interest is extraordinary, beyond expectations. Just on the first day, there were already queues," he expressed, in Kebayoran Lama Utara, South Jakarta, Monday (10/13).
Therefore, Pramono considers the parking problem in the Ragunan area to be a top priority that must be resolved immediately, both in the medium and long term. He does not want congestion to occur inside Ragunan on Saturday night when Ragunan Zoo is open.
"Therefore, what I think about managing parking in the medium to long term in Ragunan should already become a top priority. Because if not, we don't want the congestion on Saturday night to occur in Ragunan," he explained.
Despite there are many public requests for Ragunan Zoo's night tourism to be open not only on Saturdays, he decided not to add night tour operational services at this time.
"They requested not only Saturday night, but I decided to just start with Saturday night for now," he explained.
Previously, the Ragunan Zoo Management Unit (UPTMR) officially conducted a trial of a night tour called Night at the Ragunan Zoo on Saturday (10/11).
Night Program at Ragunan Zoo is held every Sunday night from 6 PM to 10 PM, with regular entrance fees by Rp 4,000 for adults and Rp 3,000 for children.
Through this program, visitors can enjoy a different experience, namely observing nocturnal animals such as small mammals, owls, and reptiles. Besides being an educational activity, it is hoped that this activity will become a healthy, safe, and comfortable recreational space.
As information, admission tickets can be purchased directly at the Ragunan ticket booth using JakCard, the electronic card issued by Bank Jakarta. For visitors who do not yet have one, the card can be purchased and topped up with balance at the location before entering the zoo area. Ticket services are open until 9:00 PM.
During the night tour, private cars are not allowed to enter the Ragunan inner area. Instead, the management provides a shuttle buggy car with a capacity of five people to transport visitors to the animal spots. The service fee is Rp 250,000 per hour.
