Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung inaugurated the Kebayoran Lama Utara Fire Station, Kebayoran Lama, South Jakarta, Monday (10/13).

This becomes a role model example in other places in Jakarta

It is the result of a creative financing scheme through a swap or asset exchange mechanism.

"Kebayoran Lama Utara Fire Station, South Jakarta, hereby I declare it officially inaugurated for use," he expressed.

Its construction did not use funds from the City Budget (APBD), but was financed by exchanging 338 square meters of land owned by the Jakarta Government with 601 square meters of land owned by PT Pacific Equity Management.

This fire station was built to serve approximately 17,000 households in Kebayoran Lama.

"Exchange of land owned by the Jakarta government measuring approximately 301 meters with an area of 600 meters in this location, along with the construction of a fire station," he explained.

He also welcomed the construction of the fire station using creative funding. The financing scheme for this development is effective and can benefit the community.

"What is being done shows that the creative financing process with PT Pasifik Equity Management is indeed running well and effectively. That's why I am willing to formalize it," he explained.

Pramono added that the creative financing scheme for building this fire station will serve as a model for funding development projects in various other locations.

"This becomes a role model example in other places in Jakarta," he added.

There are five fire stations in Kebayoran Lama. They are deemed to be very beneficial for residents, especially in densely populated areas that are difficult to reach by district or city fire stations. These fire stations are also equipped with 30 portable fire extinguishers (APAR).

"I just received a report from the Fire and Rescue Agency Head, Mr. Bayu, that in 2025, Kebayoran Lama will have zero fires, and hopefully this achievement can be maintained," he added.

As information, Kebayoran Lama Utara has an area of approximately 178.22 hectares with 10 RWs and 101 RTs. The number of households in this area is 17,470, and the population is 53,514 people.

RW 05, Kebayoran Lama Utara Urban Village is a densely populated area that is vulnerable to fires, with narrow roads and distant water sources.

The process of exchanging regional-owned goods with land owned by PT Pacific Equity Management has received approval from the Jakarta City Council.

Jakarta Fire and Rescue Agency Head, Bayu Meghantara explained that through this creative financing scheme, a fire station and various other facilities, including parks and roads, are built. In addition, two fire trucks will be stationed at the fire station.

"So, how do we improve quick response and response time. Also, how can we socialize with the community in RW 5, North Kebayoran Lama Urban Village," he stated.
