Central Jakarta Bina Marga Sub-agency keeps accelerating the repair of sidewalks on 16 roads.

Head of Central Jakarta Bina Marga Sub-agency, M Soleh said the repair is divided into five packages with total 11.2 kilometers of length.

"The length of sidewalk repaired during this year is approximately 11.2 kilometers," he said, Wednesday (10/8).

The first package is run in Tanah Abang and Roxy namely on Jalan Jembatan Tinggi, Sanggau, Kota Baru and Marabahan by 1.5 kilometers.

Similar repair is also run in Menteng District namely on Jalan HOS Cokroaminoto, Sam Ratulangi and Cemara.

"Those are continuation of last year projects. We repair 2.4 kilometers of sidewalk this year," he added.

Third package is run in Sawah Besar District on Jalan Wahidin Raya and Dr Abdul Rahmag Saleh with total length three kilometers.

Then the fourth package is on Jalan Angkasa Raya, Kemayoran and Percetakan Negara II, Johar Baru along 2.4 kilometers.

The fifth package is focused on Jalan Kwini 1  and 2, Senen District along 2.3 kilometers.

"Improvements were made by increasing the width of the sidewalk from 1.5 meters to 1.8 to two meters, and equipped with directional tiles for people with disabilities," he explained.

The project is targeted for completion in mid December.
