The mosquito nest eradication at RW 01, Melawai Urban Village, Kebayoran Baru District, South Jakarta, South Jakarta targeted 203 buildings.

Head of Kebayoran Baru District, Ahmad Basyarudin appreciated the Mosquito Larva Monitoring Officer (Jumantik) which succeeded in making Melawai Urban Village an area with zero cases of dengue fever since last January.

"Even though there are zero dengue fever cases, we must continue to carry out prevention and eradicate mosquito nests routinely and independently. Mosquito mutation is very fast and we don't realize it," he said, Friday (10/3).

Head of Melawai Urban Village, Wahyudi explained today's activity targeted 203 buildings of houses, mosques, schools and offices.

"Jumantik found mosquito nests in two locations," he added.

He added that the mosquito larvae-free rate (ABJ) in Melawai Urban Village had reached a minimum of 96 percent, indicating that this area is safe from Aedes Aegy pti mosquito larvae, the vector that causes dengue fever.

"This achievement must be maintained well," he stated.
