Eight personnel from the Water Resources Executing Unit (SDA) were deployed to revitalize the 82-meter-long water channel on Jalan Dukuh, RT 06/03, Kelapa Dua Wetan Urban Village, Ciracas Sub-district, East Jakarta.
It is widened to optimize its capacity and prevent flooding
Ciracas SDA Executing Unit Head, Yulia Indah said, the revitalization was carried out using a U-ditch measuring 40x40x120 centimeters.
"This work has been ongoing since September 11, 2025, and is targeted to be completed in the upcoming October 2025," she expressed, Tuesday (9/30).
She explained, it is a must, as the previous condition was small in size and had already suffered significant damage, even collapsing.
"It is widened to optimize its capacity and prevent flooding," she explained.
She added the work progress has touched 60 percent. "We'll finish it soon as it is currently the rainy season," she added.
This work received appreciation from one of the residents, Ibnu (41).
"Hopefully, it can be finished on time and can prevent flooding," he hoped.
