As many as 85 personnel of North Jakarta and Seribu Islands Fire Handling and Rescue Sub-agency handled fire incident that burned three houses on Jalan Prihatin, Indonesian Navy Complex, RT 06/02, Kelapa Gading Barat Urban Village, Kelapa Gading District.

Sub-agency's Head Section of Operation, Gatot Sulaeman, said the incident was reported at 2:26 PM.

"Then we deployed 17 firetrucks with 85 personnel to the scene," he said, Friday (9/26).

He added that the first team arrived at 2:40 PM, the fire had already grown and was immediately handled. The blaze was successfully localized within 15 minutes.

"The handling was run up to 5:20 PM. Personnel experienced a little difficulty due to strong winds," he added.

Gatot continued, the fire first appeared on the second floor on one of the burned houses. The flames quickly engulfed the building, which was partly constructed of wood.

"The fire is allegedly caused by an electrical short circuit. There were no fatalities or serious injuries," he continued.

One of the residents, Indiar admitted she directly contacted the firefighter personnel for an immediate handling.

"Thanks to the personnel for quickly handling the fire," she admitted.
