The Chairman of City Council's Utility Network Special Committee, Pantas Nainggolan is optimistic that the discussion of Utility Network Regional Regulation Draft (Raperda) to complete this month.

The Regional Regulation Formation Agency (Bapemperda) of the Jakarta City Council previously requested that the results of the discussions be submitted this month so they can be included in the 2025 Regional Regulation Formation Program (Propemperda).

"That's why we're going to accelerate this . The formation of this special committee is an effort to expedite the completion of this regional regulation draft," he said, Monday (9/22).

He explained that the draft consists of five chapters and 41 articles arranging Integrated Utility Network Facilities (SJUT). The draft will eventually give rise to several Gubernatorial Regulations (Pergub) as implementing regulations for utility network development in the capital.

Pantas added that the Special Committee is currently perfecting a number of wordings to avoid misinterpretation or confusion in the application of the regulation.

One of the draft provisions is the obligation for developers to return the road to its original condition after the construction of the SJUT, including the type and thickness of the materials used.

"It is based on reality on the field," he stated.
