provide equal opportunities for religious activities
"I am grateful for the opportunity to inaugurate the Calvary Parish Church at Lubang Buaya. This church is truly extraordinary, and I hope it will become a place of worship for its congregation," he said.
Pramono asked the Jakarta Mental and Spiritual Education Bureau (Dikmental) ranks to routinely provide guidance to church administrators.
This guidance, he added, is part of the Jakarta Provincial Government's commitment to all religious communities.
"We will provide equal opportunities for religious activities to all religious communities," he added.
The governor also requested East Jakarta Mayor and Water Resources Agency to check and repair water channel around the church. It is because the area is often flooded due to the overflow of Sunter River.
"The water channel here must be checked and repaired. Please make sure to prevent flood as it disturbs the activity in the church," he appealed.
Head of the Lubang Buaya Calvary Catholic Parish Church, Johan Ferdinand, admitted that his party had received a lot of assistance from the Jakarta Provincial Government.
