"... are expected to enhance the area's aesthetics and provide a comfortable space for residents to relax,"
Cipulir Urban Village Secretary Eka Yuyun Juniarty mentioned that the project focuses on beautifying the area under flyover with murals and other aesthetic elements.
"We arrange the area to make it more colorful, beautiful, so it doesn't appear neglected," she said on Wednesday (9/10).
Eka explained that the murals, created by five Orange Troops personnel, reflect Cipulir's local character, such as Pasar Kebayoran Lama, traditional Betawi houses, and other cultural icons.
"To tidy up the area, we are receiving support from the South Jakarta Bina Marga Sub-agency, which will install bollards to separate sidewalk and traffic areas," she noted.
According to plan, she added, vertical garden will be installed in several locations, along with sorting bins and seating areas.
"These murals, vertical gardens, and public amenities are expected to enhance the area's aesthetics and provide a comfortable space for residents to relax and engage in community activities," she shared.
She urged residents and vendors from Kebayoran Lama Market to help maintain the improvements, which are currently about 70 percent complete.
"Please keep the area clean and free from litter or vandalism," she emphasized.
A local resident named Lingga (28), appreciated the development work under Pasar Kebayoran Baru Flyover. He said the addition of murals and facilities has made the area more attractive and visually pleasing.
"If possible, I hope more murals can be added throughout the area, whether themed around culture, public messages, or other creative expressions," he said.
