Jakarta City Council Chairman, Khoirudin invited all people to protect the city from attempts to destroy public facilities during demonstrations.

He emphasized that the public needs to remain calm, maintain peace, and not be easily provoked by news that is not necessarily true.

"I urge everyone to maintain peace and not be easily provoked. Don't easily believe unverified news," he said, Tuesday (9/2).

Khoirudin also reminded residents to protect themselves and their families, including maintaining environmental security in their areas.

Furthermore, Khoirudin is optimistic that Jakarta will always be a peaceful city and a hope for many people.

"Jakarta will return to glory and become a place of hope, peace, security, and prosperity for us all. Let's protect Jakarta," he stated.
