North Jakarta and Seribu Island Fire Handling and Rescue Sub-agency handled fire that burned a workshop on Jalan Rorotan Lama, RT 01/20, Rorotan Urban Village, Cilincing District.

Sub-agency's Operation Section Head, Gatot Sulaeman, explained his side received incident report at 1:27 PM. The burnt object was a workshop with an are of 2x3 square meters.

"Then we deployed six firetrucks with 30 personnel to the scene," he said, Wednesday (8/27).

Gatot explained that the fire started from a power outage, then the owner tried to switch back on. However, sparks suddenly occurred and spread to flammable areas, quickly spreading the flames.

"The owner assisted by the residents tried to manage the fire while contacting us," he explained.

According to him, the extinguishing started at 1:38 PM then it continued with cooling process at 1:46 PM.

"The process was fully completed at 1:57 PM. There were no fatalities or injuries in this incident," he added.

Meanwhile, the workshop owner, Jumih (52) appreciated the firefighter for handling the fire quickly.

"Now the condition is fully handled," he admitted.
