Dozens of joint personnel from Satpol PP, Transportation Sub-agency, Social Sub-agency, army and police controlled the areas of Kebon Melati and Kebon Kacang, Tanah Abang, Central Jakarta, Wednesday (8/20). The controlling was led by Deputy Head of Tanah Abang District, Dwiarti Indriani Utami.

Dwiarti said that the activity was held to prevent thuggery and groups of people who use public facilities as parking areas.

"Today's activity successfully controlled illegal parking and homeless. They were taken to Kedoya Social House," she said.

Dwiarti emphasized that her side will continue to control the area to provide a sense of security and comfort for residents and visitors to shopping centers.

She also appealed to visitors of shopping centers in Tanah Abang not to park their vehicles on the roadside or sidewalk.

"We appeal the residents or visitors not to park their vehicles on the roadside of sidewalk," she stated.
