The cheap staple food program held at RW 05 Secretariat, Susukan Urban Village, Ciracas District, East Jakarta was welcomed by residents enthusiastically.

More than 500 people buy the rice

Susukan Urban Village Head, Andri Priwitama Maila, said the program was run at residential to ease the residents getting the staple food.

The cheap staple food, which is a program of the National Food Agency (Bapanas), sold five kilograms of rice by Rp 55,000.

"More than 500 people buy the rice," he said, Wednesday (8/20).

Andri explained that 4.5 tons of rice were successfully sold in a cheap food sale in collaboration with Bapanas, Susukan Urban Village and Ciracas Police.

Meanwhile, one of local residents, Sumiati (47), admitted happy with this program.

"The program helps us much to get cheaper rice with good quality. Hopefully this program can be continued," she admitted.
