Jakarta residents may need to prepare their umbrellas on Thursday (8/14) as the Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) has forecast rain in some areas of the capital.

"Cloudy in the morning," stated BMKG's official site.

At noon, Central Jakarta, South Jakarta, East Jakarta, West Jakarta, North Jakarta, and Seribu Islands will be sunny.

In the afternoon, light rain is estimated to fall in Central Jakarta, South Jakarta, and East Jakarta; sunny cloudy in West Jakarta; and sunny in North Jakarta and Seribu Islands.

Entering evening, all areas of Jakarta will be sunny and cloudy.

Today's temperature ranges from 23 to 31 degrees Celsius with air humidity between 60 to 95 percent.
