Jakarta Provincial Government through Tourism and Creative Economy Agency, presented various strategic initiatives for developing the tourism sector at the Tourism Promotion Organization (TPO) Regional Meeting for Indonesian Members 2025 at Golden Tulip Hotel, Batu City, East Java, Thursday (7/31) to Saturday (8/2).

Jakarta Tourism and Creative Economy Agency Head, Andhika Permata explained Jakarta conveyed the use of digital transformation, preservation of local culture, and strengthening city-based green destinations in tourism development. The forum was attended by 19 TPO members from all over Indonesia.
With the theme "Empowering Regional Tourism through Green Innovation, Cultural Resilience, and Digital Transformation", this forum seeks to encourage synergy between TPO members in developing regional tourism that is sustainable, adaptive to change, and based on the strength of culture and technological innovation.
"This meeting is a strategic forum for strengthening cooperation between cities, exchanging good practices, and expanding tourism promotion networks in the Asia Pacific region," he explained, on a press release, Sunday (8/3).
He said Jakarta's participation in the TPO Regional Meeting demonstrates its commitment to developing innovative, inclusive, and sustainable tourism.
He emphasized that Jakarta continues to strengthen its position as a competitive global city in the tourism sector through regional collaboration.
Agency's Division of Marketing and Attraction, Sherly Yuliana stated Jakarta's active involvement in the TPO forum not only broadens the city's international exposure but also strengthens its role in creating a resilient, creative, and collaborative tourism ecosystem, in line with the city's vision as a global growth hub based on the creative economy and culture.
"Jakarta's participation in this TPO forum is our long-term investment for a brighter future for tourism," she stated.
Meanwhile, Agency's Head of Overseas Tourism Marketing Sub-group, Lucky Wulandari, explained the delegation presented various strategic initiatives, such as the development of Blok M, which integrates a number of parks in the surrounding area, as an effort to strengthen Jakarta's image as the capital of ASEAN.
"Jakarta is ready to be a strategic partner and driving force for regional tourism progress, affirming our role as one of Asia's leading global cities," she explained.
