As many as 70 joint personnel of Satpol PP, Transportation Sub-agency, Social Sub-agency, Bina Marga Sub-agency, Army and Police, Wednesday (7/30), controlled illegal parking in Gambir and Sawah Besar, Central Jakarta. The activity was led by Central Jakarta Mayor, Arifin.

Arifin said the activity was held in order to realizing a friendly, safe and comfortable Central Jakarta city.

"This activity is part of many efforts in realizing friendly Central Jakarta city," he said.

He added that today's activity targeted local residents and parking attendants who provided public space and sidewalks as parking spaces for motorized vehicles.

"Hopefully this illegal parking control will be able to eradicate thuggery in Central Jakarta," he hoped.

Deputy of Sawah Besar District, Andre Ravnic, explained there were 11 parking attendants controlled from Jalan Industri, Pangeran Jayakarta and Mangga Besar.

"They were taken to social house for further coaching," he explained.
