Jakarta Provincial Government is about to follow up on the proposal from Jakarta City Council's Budget Agency (Banggar) regarding the addition of toilet and prayer room facilities at a number of Transjakarta bus stops.
certainly a concern for us
The proposal was stated by Banggar member, Lukmanul Hakim who encourages the improvement of public facilities along with the large subsidy budget or public service obligation (PSO) for Transjakarta services.
Responding to this, the Jakarta Regional Secretary, Marullah Matali, said that the Jakarta Provincial Government would accommodate this input.
"There are several bus stops that require additional facilities, such as prayer rooms and restrooms. This is certainly a concern for us," he said, Tuesday (7/29).
He stated that not all Transjakarta bus stops have toilets and prayer rooms. However, some are equipped with these facilities to ensure passenger comfort.
"We use certain considerations, and hopefully this can be done in a reasonable manner," he added.
Marullah continued that his rank will review which bus stops to be prioritized for additional facilities. The review will also include other needs to support passenger comfort and service.
"We'll certainly consider the toilets, and there may be other amenities we need as well. Thank you for the input," he stated.
