The construction of new water channel on Jalan Pembangunan, RW 12, Bintaro Urban Village, Pesanggrahan District, South Jakarta is targeted to complete this week as the project has reached 95 percent of completion.

Pesanggrahan District's Water Resource Coordinator, Halim, said the water channel construction is run according to local residents' request.

"The request was submitted in April 2025. Then the project started in June 2025," he said, Tuesday (7/29).

He added that four personnel with one excavator are deployed to install u-ditch with its cover.

"It is targeted to complete next week," he added.

He hopes the new channel will eliminate inundation when heavy rain pours.

Meanwhile, one of local residents, Eddy appreciated the Pesanggrahan District's Unit rank for responding the resident's request.

"Hopefully the channel will function normally," he hoped.
