From March to mid-July, the East Jakarta Transportation Agency installed 400 one-meter-diameter convex mirrors in 10 sub-district areas.

East Jakarra Transportation Sub-agency's Traffic Section Head, Benhard Tobing expressed, the 400 convex mirrors are the result of community proposals through the Musrenbang and the members of parliament's recess.

"Besides at the intersection of roads in residential areas, its installation is also on connecting roads and collector roads," he expressed, Friday (7/18).

According to him, the last installation was done last week on Jalan Kayu Putih Raya, Sunan Drajat, Cipinang Baru, Perikani, Mas Koki Raya, and Jalan Cipinang Baru 1, in the Pulo Gadung Sub-district.

Then in Cipayung Sub-district, among others, on Jalan Bambu Hitam, intersection of Jalan SMAN 33, Jalan Suralaya, Jalan Lubang Buaya, and several other locations.

"Currently, the stock in the warehouse is unvailable. If residents still propose installing convex mirrors, they will have to wait for the new stock to be available in 2026," he stated.
