Jakarta Provincial Government and Ministry of Tourism established cooperation by signing a memorandum of understanding related to tourism development.

This signing aims to strengthen Jakarta's position as a global city in the future.
The signing was held at City Hall and attended by Jakarta Governor, Pramono Anung and Minister of Tourism, Widiyanti Putri Wardhana, Thursday (7/3).
Pramono Anung expressed his appreciation to the Minister of Tourism for this collaboration.
"I would like to thank the Minister of Tourism. There are many things that will be collaborated on," Pramono said.
Pramono added the collaboration to be made are fashion development, MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) infrastructure, revitalization of areas such as Kota Tua, and waste management.
Moreover, Minister of Tourism Widiyanti Putri Wardhana also welcomed this collaboration.
"It is a pleasure to collaborate with the Governor and explore more cooperation," she said.
She added that the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy is ready to support with various promotional programs, event, and city planning to advance Jakarta tourism.
Jakarta's tourism sector is one that can be developed since it adds value and lead to economic growth.
The cooperation covers various aspects such as development of tourism destinations; organizing events and MICE activities; increasing the capacity of tourism human resources; and achieving a predicate recognized by international tourism for Jakarta.
Moreover, it also covers the development of tourism marketing; increasing cooperation
in the competitive and sustainable tourism industry and investment; and the exchange and utilization of data and information in accordance with the provision of law and regulation.
