Jakarta City Council's Commission B Chairman, Nova Harivan Paloh said his side together with Jakarta BUMD are currently discussing the realization and additional budget requirements for the public transportation service subsidy program or Public Service Obligation (PSO) ahead of the discussion of the 2025 Revised APBD.
The PSO will be adjusted
According to him, PSO is part of the transformation of public services that must continue to be optimized after the expansion of services to 15 groups of beneficiaries, as well as the integration of services in the Jabodetabek area.
"We're discussing about public transportation transformation through PSO. The PSO will be adjusted including for 15 groups of beneficiaries, and also related with Transjabodetabek
integration," he said, Tuesday (7/1).He explained that his side wanted to know the effectiveness of the PSO that had been given to transportation operators such as Transjakarta, MRT Jakarta, and LRT Jakarta, as well as reviewing additional needs that would be proposed in the Revised APBD.
"Transjakarta received PSO Rp 4.2 trillion. Transjakarta remains be able to run operations with the old PSO that has been allocated. This means it is still safe," he added.
Meanwhile, for the Jakarta MRT and Jakarta LRT, Nova continued that there had been a proposal for additional budget in the PSO scheme.
Nova emphasized the importance of clear data and budget requirement projections, so that the discussion of KUA-PPAS in the Budget Agency (Banggar) can run effectively and on target.
"MRT and LRT could be added up to Rp 36 billion," he stated.
