South Jakarta Fire Handling and Rescue Sub-agency personnel extinguished fire that burned a semi-permanent building on Jalan Bungur I, RT 04/01, Kebayoran Lama Selatan Urban Village, Kebayoran Lama District.

The Sub-agency Head, Syamsul Huda admitted the incident was reported at 1:06 PM.

"Then we directly deployed 12 firetrucks with 43 personnel to the location," he admitted, Monday (6/30).

Huda said no longer than four minutes the personnel came and managed the fire. They tried to avoid fire burning other buildings.

"The extinguishing was completed fully at 1:53 PM," he said.

According to him, the fire was suspected to have been caused by an electrical short circuit due to overlapping plugs.

"There is no victim, but 12 people lost their homes," he added.

Meanwhile, one of the residents, Irwan (45), explained he saw the fire from the second floor of the semi-permanent building.

"Thank God the personnel quickly came to handle the fire," he explained.
