This event was held as form of music and international friendship celebration, as well as to enliven Jakarta's 498th anniversary.
In his speech, Pramono appreciated the presence of the UK Royal Marine Band in Jakarta. He believes the performance will be well received by Jakarta people who are multicultural, multi-ethnic, and have a love for music.
"Welcome to Jakarta. I believe Jakarta people will love the Royal Marine Band performance," he said.
Pramono also conveyed his vision and mission to realize Jakarta as a global city. Then Jakarta Provincial Government established cooperation with various world universities such as Nottingham University.
"Hopefully the cooperation with several foreign universities will support Jakarta to improve human resources as one of the things that must be improved as a global city," he added.
Pramono had appealed the Jakarta Regional Cooperation Bureau Head to establish cooperation with various parties, including other countries. The cooperation can be made by also visiting the countries.
This strategy is important to strengthen Jakarta's position as a global city that is ready to be a major part in attracting investment from anywhere.
