The Jakarta Provincial Government is set to launch two new Transjabodetabek routes in the near future.
"Maka kami akan membuka kurang lebih 10 rute baru,"
Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung stated that the upcoming routes will connect Bekasi to Dukuh Atas via Becakayu and Ancol to Blok M.
He believes the new routes will be popular among passengers.
"For the new routes, first is Bekasi-Dukuh Atas via Becakayu. I'm confident this route will be a high-demand route," he conveyed at RW 07 Secretariat Office in Kelapa Gading Barat Urban Village, North Jakarta, on Thursday (6/26).
With the addition of Ancol-Blok M route, Pramono hopes for stronger integration across the city's transport network.
This policy is part of efforts to improve interregional connectivity and support the development of Blok M Hub as a major transport center and a vibrant accessible community service.
"The second route will connect Ancol and Blok M. If that goes smoothly, Blok M will trully become the new Blok M Hub," he asserted.
He noted that improved access and connectivity will make Blok M even more accessible and attractive to visitors.
Previously, Pramono stated that Jakarta’s traffic congestion can’t be resolved by Transjakarta alone. Therefore, the city is expanding Transjabodetabek with 10 new routes.
"For Transjabodetabek, the regions directly bordering Jakarta are West Java and Banten. Therefore, we open about 10 new routes," he added.
Until this day, five new Transjabodetabek routes have been operating, namely M-Alam Sutera, Blok M-PIK 2, Blok M-Bogor, Sawangan Terminal-Blok M, and Vida Bekasi-Cawang Sentral.
