As many as 30 representatives of Fisheries Cultivation Group of Cempaka Putih, Tanah Abang, Kemayoran and Senen Districts, Central Jakarta were educated about modern technology-based fisheries business.
The fish farmers in Central Jakarta have their own characteristics
The activity initiated by Central Jakarta Food Security, Marine and Agriculture Sub-agency, Tuesday (6/24), was launched by Deputy Mayor, Eric PZ Lumbun.
Eric said that this training is needed to develop effective and efficient fisheries businesses in narrow areas, especially in urban areas.
"The fish farmers in Central Jakarta have their own characteristics by utilizing narrow land, unused
public facilities, house yards and small containers," he said.He hopes this fish farming training will support the family and surrounding communities food security and increase family income.
Meanwhile, Central Jakarta KPKP Sub-agency Head, Penty Yunesi Pudyastuti explained participants were given fisheries cultivation techniques using the Biofloc system and IOT (Internet of Things) knowledge. It refers to the use of sensor technology.
"Hopefully this training can increase the skills and knowledge of fish farmers in Central Jakarta," she explained.
After the training, the groups received assistance in the form of a 500 liter fiber tank, a water pump of 3,000 liters output, and four sacks of fish pellets by 30 kg.
