PT MRT Jakarta (Perseroda) and National Search and Rescue Agency (Basarnas), through Jakarta SAR Office Technical Implementation Unit, have agreed to cooperate and synergize in strengthening safety and preparedness aspects in the urban transportation sector.

The agreement was formalized in a Memorandum of Understanding and Cooperation Agreement signed by Mega Tarigan, Director of Operations and Maintenance of PT MRT Jakarta (Perseroda) and Desiana Kartika Bahari, Head of Jakarta SAR Office.
Corporate Secretary Division Head of PT MRT Jakarta (Perseroda), Ahmad Pratomo, conveyed that the scope of cooperation includes personnel training and building personnel capacity, joint emergency response simulations, and development of disaster handling procedures.
"As well as information exchange to enhance the effectiveness of search and rescue operations," he added on Tuesday (6/24).
He stated that the signing marks an important milestone in strengthening the security and safety system of rail-based mass transportation in Indonesia.
"Both parties are optimistic that
this synergy will bring tangible benefits to the public and serve as a model of strategic collaboration between government agencies and regional-owned enterprises," he explained.
