Former Jakarta Governor, Djarot Saiful Hidayat said there are three big challenges to face by Jakarta.

The main challenge is traffic congestion

Those three big challenges heading to a global city are traffic congestion, flood, and waste.

"The main challenge is traffic congestion. Next are waste that must be handled well from upstream to downstream, and of course flood," he said, after attending the Jakarta's 498th Anniversary Plenary Session at Jakarta City Council Building, Sunday (6/22).

This city, he added, will be able to realize its vision as a cultured and civilized global city if those three main issues can be handled by the Jakarta Provincial Government.

Djarot hopes that Jakarta can develop into a global city that is cultured, civilized, and fair in prosperity and prosperous in justice.

"Happy 498th birthday Jakarta. Always be successful. I will always love you, Jakarta," he stated.
