Residents living in Sungai Bambu Urban Village, Tanjung Priok Sub-district, North Jakarta enjoy the free rabies vaccination service in their neighborhood.

This service held by the North Jakarta Maritime, Agriculture and Food Security Sub-agency will be running from June 16 to 20, 2025.
One of the residents from RW 03, Sungai Bambu Urban Village, Aulia (26) said, she had three cats. This rabies vaccination keeps pets healthy and makes us as owners safer.
"I know about this service from the neighborhood group," she expressed, Wednesday (6/18).
Animal Husbandry and Animal Health Section Head, Liza Engkalika explained, the service has been held in four locations, namely Secretariat RW 01, 02, 03, and 05, in Sungai Bambu Urban Village.
"Over the course of two days, we have vaccinated 135 animals, consisting of 57 cats, 75 dogs, and two monkeys," she explained.
According to her, all the vaccinated animals had been confirmed to meet the requirements such as being in good health, at least five months old, and not pregnant or nursing.
"We also provide vitamins for unhealthy animals," she explained.
She added residents who want to know the schedule for rabies vaccination and its location can check the Instagram owned by Sudin KPKP North Jakarta. The urban village also helps inform its residents via WhatsApp groups.
"Come and vaccinate your animals. We want Jakarta to continue to maintain its status as a Rabies-Free City," he asserted.
Sungai Bambu Urban Village Acting Head, Eka Persilian Yeluma ensured, she strongly supports free rabies vaccination services as a form of protection for the health of animals and humans.
"The enthusiasm of the residents here demonstrates the increasing awareness of the importance of maintaining health for their pets and themselves," he stated.
