Jakarta Deputy Governor, Rano Karno, led a ceremony and flower scattering at the Kalibata National Heroes Cemetery (TMP), Pancoran, South Jakarta, Tuesday (6/17).

Hope this spirit and enthusiasm will be contagious to us

He explained, scattering flowers is a form of respect for the struggle and spirit of heroes and national figures in building the nation.

"As successors, we will surely uphold the spirit of their struggle, and we are now working to build the city. Hope this spirit and enthusiasm will be contagious to us," he expressed.

Several graves of national heroes and figures visited were the graves of Hasri Ainun Habibie, Taufiq Kiemas, Suwirjo, Sutojo Siswomihardjo, S. Parman, M.T. Haryono, RD. Suprapto, and A. Yani.

This activity was also attended by Jakarta City Council Chairman, Khoirudin and Jakarta City Secretary, Marullah Matali. Unfortunately, Governor Pramono Anung was absent due to medical reasons.

After the eye surgery, Rano explained, for the time being, the Governor should not be exposed to direct sunlight until his condition improves.

Because of that, they shared the tasks. He led the ceremony and flower scattering, while Governor Pramono received eight governors who are part of the Main Partner (MPU), namely Governors of Lampung, Banten, West Java, Central Java, East Java, Yogyakarta, and Bali.

"We shared the tasks, the Governor received eight governors to discuss the cooperation," he revealed.
