personnel collect 200 sacks of mud everyday
Kembangan District's Water Resource Group Head, Ahmad Permadi said the dredging is run based on local resident's request since the area is often inundated.
"The mud thickness inside the channel was already high. It disturbed the water flow," he said, Wednesday (6/11).
Permadi explained that the draining of the 100-meter long and 80-centimeter wide channel involved 10 personnel equipped with manual equipment such as sacks, hoes and buckets.
The dredging that was started on May 27, 2025 is targeted to complete soon.
"The personnel collect 200 sacks of mud everyday," he added.
Permadi appealed to residents not to throw garbage into the drains to avoid flooding due to blockages.
Yuni (38), one of local residents appreciated the bluetaskforce personnel for dredging the channel.
"Hopefully it will eliminate inundation fully," she hoped.
