Jakarta Governor, Pramono Anung, urged slaughterhouse owners and the public not to dispose of qurban animal waste into the rivers.
Hopefully, it doesn't impact the community
According to him, there should be proper handling of qurban animal waste during the slaughtering process so that it does not negatively affect the community.
"Hopefully, it doesn't impact the community, especially the slaughter that is discarded into the river," he expressed, at Tugu Stadium, North Jakarta, Monday (6/2).
He had also instructed the mayors to regulate the locations for the slaughtering of qurban animals. This was because the slaughtering of qurban animals is also conductednin several public places.
He also reminded that the process of slaughtering qurban animals should not disturb the comfort of the community.
"This is usually done in the middle of the road, in parks, and so on, this is not allowed," he explained.
Aside that, the Jakarta Government would distribute more qurban animals during this year's Idul Adha compared to the previous year. However, the decision regarding the number of distributed qurban animals would only be determined this afternoon.
"We usually also receive assistance every year," he added.
