The Jakarta Regional Crafts Council (Dekranasda) collaborated with Paris Agency Ladresse at Balairung, Jakarta City Hall, Wednesday (5/28).

Jakarta Governor, Pramono Anung, hoped that this memorandum of understanding (MoU) would not only be a formality but also a strategic step to advance Jakarta's fashion industry.

"On behalf of the Jakarta Government, I sincerely hope that the MoU between Jakarta and the Ladresse Paris Agency will truly be a strategic step that brings benefits," he expressed.

He hoped that Jakarta's dream to showcase at Paris Fashion Week has truly become a reality. This could serve as a barometer for Jakarta to assess its readiness on the international stage.

This agreement was also expected to transform Jakarta into a global city and a hub for fashion creativity in Southeast Asia.

"I truly hope that what was signed earlier truly becomes a reality," he hoped.

He also expressed his hope that the partnership with Paris Agency Ladresse could continue to grow and bring benefits to the community.

Jakarta Dekranasda Chair, Hani Pramono Anung stated that this collaboration is a strategic step to pave the way for designers and fashion players in Jakarta, allowing them to showcase on the international stage, especially through their participation in Paris Fashion Week.

She believed that creative industry actors in Jakarta have very big potential.

"Besides being rich in innovation and creativity, they also have the spirit to keep growing," she stated.

Thereby, the steps taken by Dekranasda in bridging the collaboration of fashion actors in Jakarta are important. Thus, the best works of the nation's children receive a deserving place in the international world.

Her party also expressed their appreciation to Paris Agency Ladresse for the trust and partnership that has made.

"May what we begin today be the start of a productive, sustainable partnership that brings real benefits to the development of Jakarta's creative economy," she closed.
