Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung relaunched the East Jakarta Housing and Settlement Information System (Sirukim) at Rusunawa Pulogebang Penggilingan Tower C, Cakung, East Jakarta, on Tuesday (5/27).
"H opefully this will give a positive impact for Jakarta residents in finding housing,"
Pramono hoped this relaunch would bring transparency and ease for Jakarta residents in accessing information and applying for housing, particularly in low-cost rental apartment (rusunawa).
"Today, I officially relaunch Sirukim and
hopefully this will give a positive impact for Jakarta residents in finding housing," he conveyed at the location. He explained that previously, there were many complaints about the lack of transparency in the Sirukim application. Therefore, he asked Head of Public Housing and Settlement to develop a more transparent and objective system.
The updated application now provides three days for applicants to complete their documents. Governor also mentioned that if the number of applicants exceeds the available units, then it will be allocated based on a queue system.
"Hopefully, with this transparency, accountability is ensured, making the system transparent, easily accessible, and allowing Jakarta residents seeking housing to find it more easily and transparently," he stated.
On that occasion, Pramono also checked several MSME products sold by Rusunawa Pulogadung occupants. He even purchased two knitted dolls for his grandchildren.
"Hopefully, residents living in places like this have additional income, some sell meatballs, herbal drinks (jamu), and some make knitted dools," he expressed.
Jakarta Public Housing and Settlement Agency Head, Kelik Indrianto, explained that Sirukim is an information system used by Jakarta residents to access and apply for ownership or rental a housing unit, either in Rusunawa or owned low-cost apartment (Rusunami).
He revealed that the Sirukim has been operational since 2020 and now it has been enhanced to manage more than 33,000 housing units under the Housing Agency.
"This system indeed needed to be improved," he asserted.
One of the updates to Sirukim is a more attractive interface and customized features to support better governance, responsive, transparent, and accountable.
Moreover, an additional three days are given for residents to complete documents, which is expected to enhance transparency and offer greater opportunities for the community.
"That's more important, because perhaps until now residents have been wondering about the status of their application. Now, there will always be notifications on the site, according to the applicant's account," he said.
Kelik mentioned that the Jakarta Public Housing and Settlement Agency is committed to continuously innovating and improving services for the public. Residents are encouraged to stay updated via the agency's social media accounts or official website.
He also urged the public to report any illegal levies related to housing application.
"As for housing, we are firmly promoting a zero illegal levy policy. In Sirukim system, there is a direct hotline for reporting such cases at 0821-2121-8031," he said.
