Thousand Islands Regency through local Satpol PP unit held a Communication Forum titled "Prevention of Disturbances to Public Peace and Order (Tramtibum) at Mitra Praja Building, Sunter, North Jakarta.

"This activity is part of a program to enhance personnel capacity and security synergy with relevant stakeholders,"

Thousand Islands Assistant for Government and People's Welfare (Aspemkesra), Alawi, mentioned that this was the second meeting, with the first held on May 19.

"This activity is part of a program to enhance personnel capacity and security synergy with relevant stakeholders," he said on Friday (5/23).

Alawi noted that maintaining community security and order is an ongoing challenge, requiring active coordination among Satpol PP, TNI, Police, and relevant Regional Apparatus Organizations (OPDs).

"Dangers like drugs, juvenile delinquency, and potential social friction can arise at any time, there needs to be a shared commitment to prevent and address them," he asserted.

Meanwhile, Thousand Islands Satpol PP Head, Atok Baroni, emphasized that the forum's outcomes would serve as material for designing strategic, innovation-based steps.

"We will also continue to build communication between residents and institutions so that any potential disturbances can be addressed together," he said.

According to him, Satpol PP must be able to respond to contemporary challenges with tangible breakthroughs, including developing a security system oriented towards prevention, service, and community engagement.

"We also highlight the issue of school dropouts who need attention and support to return to education. We will consult with the Education Sub-department; if there are school dropouts, they should be reintegrated into the education system," he explained.
