Ahead of Idul Adha, as many as 618 qurban animals at 11 shelters have undergone examination by the West Jakarta Maritime, Agriculture and Food Security Sub-agency (KPKP).
If they violate it, they will receive a reprimand and sanctions
West Jakarta KPKP Sub-agency Head, Novy C Palit stated the examination of qurban animals aimed to ensure their health and eligibility for sacrifice, including preventing the spread of foot and mouth disease.
"The examination includes documents from the place of origin, with the most important being the health and eligibility of the animals sold by the sellers," she expressed, Thursday (5/22).
After being examined, she explained, the animals such as goats, sheep, cattle, and buffalo from 11 shelters spread across eight sub-districts were also provided with health certificates and stickers indicating that the place is suitable for selling animals.
"We give animal health stickers that indicate whether the shelter has a permit or is not violating government regulations," she explained.
Then sellers were urged to comply with the existing regulations, not to sell in forbidden places, such as sidewalks, sidewalks, or public and social facilities used by many people.
"If they violate it, they will receive a reprimand and sanctions," she asserted.
