As many as 134 participants attended fish cultivation training held by North Jakarta Food Security, Marine, and Agriculture (KPKP) Sub-agency at Balai Penyuluhan Pertanian Sukapura, Rorotan, Cilincing.

North Jakarta KPKP Sub-agency Head, Unang Rustanto said this training is given to increase knowledge of fish farming, both for consumption and ornamental fish. It is also to increase the enthusiasm of farmers to start a fish farming business.

"Many fish farmers who were not performing optimally. That is why the training is provided," he said, Wednesday (5/21).

North Jakarta KPKP Sub-agency's Marine and Fishery Section Head, Riyadi Akbar, participants were given material on 'Innovation of Appropriate Technology for Fisheries Cultivation in North Jakarta' explained by Nurhidayat, a Researcher at the Fisheries Research Center-BRIN. Also about 'Tilapia Fish Nursery at the Cijeruk Research Installation' from Hery Arief Riyanto, a Fish Cultivation Practitioner.

"Thanks to all parties who are involved in the training. Hopefully the training will give positive impact and widen fish cultivator in North Jakarta," he stated.

One of participants from RPTRA Budi Mulia, Pademangan, Imam Subhi, admitted he was happy to attend the training.

"The instructions were very detailed and easy to understand. Of course I will practice this in our place. Hopefully the fish will continue to grow well," he hoped.
