South Jakarta Food Security, Marine and Agriculture (KPKP) Sub-agency sterilized 43 stray cats in Bukit Duri Urban Village, Tebet, Thursday (5/15).

South Jakarta KPKP Sub-agency's Animal Husbandry and Health Section Head, Irawati Harry Artharini explained sterilization applied the Trap Neuter Return (TNR) method or the cat is caught, sterilized and then returned to its origin.
"The program aims to handle stray cats population," she said.
She added that 114 stray cats in Tebet Timur, Kebon Baru and Bukit Duri Urban Villages have been sterilized.
"The next program to be held in Tebet District on May 28," she added.
Tebet District Head, Dyan Airlangga appreciated the program in handling stray cats population.
"Sometimes social problems arise due to our lack of attention to pets, such as their droppings being left anywhere, and so on," he stated.
