The flood that hit the Kuningan Barat area, Mampang Prapatan, South Jakarta last night has finally receded.

The water receded completely this morning

South Jakarta BPBD Platoon Commander, M. Nur said the flood in South Jakarta last night due to heavy rainfall, overflow from Mampang River, and Krukut River had completely receded by 6:30 AM.

"The flood hit the residents' settlement around 10 PM and flooded the Kuningan Barat area with water levels of about 30 to 50 centimeters," he expressed, Wednesday (5/14).

Besides the decreasing water flow in the river, the flood receded also due to the swift actions of the Water Resources Sub-agency and PPSU.

"The water receded completely this morning. No residents evacuated last night," he stressed.

Kuningan Barat Urban Village Head, Isno Usnodo explained his personnel also got support from Water Resource (SDA personnel and one unit of a floating pump operated on Jalan Terusan Rasuna Said, RT 06/02.

"I urge residents to always be vigilant in facing the rainy season by participating in cleaning the environment," he asserted.
