Jakarta City Council Commission E Member, Dina Masyusin supports the Jakarta Governor's initiative to increase the capacity of daycare centers in the Jakarta City Hall area.
This is the Jakarta Government's serious step
Governor Pramono assessed that the current daycare capacity, which can only accommodate 20 children, is still very limited.
"I completely agree if the capacity is increased," she expressed, at City Council building, Monday (5/5).
She also supports efforts to adjust children's study hours to align with the working hours of civil servants in Jakarta. It is important so children do not have to accompany their parents to work.
"This is the Jakarta Government's serious step in synergizing the workforce and their families," she explained.
She also urged that the measure be implemented across all government offices in Jakarta.
This policy could improve employee productivity as they would be more focused on conducting their tasks.
"Hope this will be realized soon in all districts/cities in Jakarta," she added.
Previously, the Governor directly reviewed the daycare facilities at the City Hall, Jalan Medan Merdeka Selatan, Gambir, Central Jakarta, Monday (5/5). He directly observed the condition and operations of the child daycare center provided for employees' children.
He highlighted the limitations of daycare capacity and immediately instructed the Head of the Disdik to increase its capacity to make it more adequate. He also emphasized the importance of adjusting children's learning hours to parents' working hours.
As information, there are 46 daycare centers in Jakarta. Of this number, 22 are under the Jakarta Government and city government, while 24 others are under private parties.
