Jakarta City Council Commission D Member, Neneng Hasanah encourages the policy of expanding the frequency of public transportation use by civil servants in Jakarta.

I hope it can be implemented twice a week or even three times

Currently, the policy is outlined in Governor's Call Number 6/2025, which requires civil servants to use public transportation every Wednesday.

According to her, this policy could be implemented two to three times a week to support the reduction of traffic congestion and air pollution in the capital.

"I hope it can be implemented twice a week or even three times. This will have a very positive impact on Jakarta," she expressed, at City Council building, Thursday (5/1).

The Governor's Call Number 6/2025 provides exceptions for civil servants who are ill, pregnant, have disabilities, or are on field duty that requires special mobility. She believes that the policy has taken into account various employee conditions and still allows for flexibility.

However, she emphasized that this policy must be implemented consistently by all regional device organizations (OPD) under the Jakarta Government, with strict supervision.

"There must be uniform implementation from all heads of OPD. This Governor's policy needs to be implemented consistently across all agencies," she asserted.

She pushed the Jakarta Government to consider imposing sanctions on civil servants who break the rules. She believed that the mechanism for imposing sanctions could be formulated through internal discussions or directly established by the Governor.

"The sanctions can be discussed together or determined by the Governor, thus this regulation is not only an appeal but discipline," she closed.
