Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung appreciated the contribution of Aisyiyah, the women's Islamic organization under Muhammadiyah, in the nation's development.

This was conveyed when he opened the Regional Leadership Conference (Muswil) of Aisyiyah Jakarta at Balairung Hotel, East Jakarta, on Wednesday (4/30).
Pramono emphasized the importance of collaboration between the regional government and Aisyiyah to realize empowered and modern women in Jakarta.
"One of Aisyiyah's main strengths is that it is a well-established organization whose contributions to national development are evident," he said.
He stated that Muhammadiyah has advantages over other organizations in three sectors, namely education, health, and welfare. According to him, educational institutions under Muhammadiyah are among the best in Indonesia.
He also praised Aisyiyah's contributions in health sector through Muhammadiyah Hospital which reflects the nation's progress. In welfare sector, he noted the close cooperation between Aisyiyah and the Jakarta provincial Government through the Bureau of Mental and Spiritual Education (Bidikmental).
He delivered his hope that this regional leadership meeting would produce programs that are relevant and beneficial for members and the wider community, especially women in Jakarta.
Furthermore, on this occasion, he also outlined his programs for developing Jakarta and improving the lives of its residents. These include the distribution of 707,622 Jakarta Smart Cards (KJP) and Jakarta Excelent Student Cards, as well as assistance for elderly and people with special needs.
"Because for me, this is the kind of situation that deserves special attention," he expressed.
In addition, he also stated his commitment to helping resolve the issue of withheld diplomas. He hopes the diploma amnesty program can help residents improve their quality of life.
"Our responsibility is that anyone who has gone through this process and is entitled to a diploma but has not received it due to financial constraints should be given the ease of obtaining it," he asserted.
Jakarta Aisyiyah Regional Leadership (PWA) Chairwoman, Elo Albugis, mentioned that her side will continue to collaborate with city government to advance women in Jakarta.

gressive, enlightening and intelligent," she uttered.Elo explained that the main goal of holding this conference was to map out the potential and leadership strengths of Aisyiyah in empowering women at both the local and national levels. Additionally, this forum serves as an important moment for deep reflection on the organization's journey, evaluating work programs, and formulating new strategies to face future challenges
In carrying out work programs, she said, Aisyiyah optimizes funding sources through collaboration with the Jakarta Provincial Government. According to her, they regularly coordinate with the Muhammadiyah Regional Leadership to propose flagship programs through grants from the Bureau of Mental and Spiritual Education (Bidikmental).
"We also collaborate with private sector and other parties who support Aisyiyah's programs in Jakarta," she concluded.
