Residents living on Sabira Island, Harapan Island Urban Village, North Seribu Islands, received free productive tree seedlings assistance from the Seribu Islands Maritime, Agriculture and Food Security Sub-agency (KPKP).

The assistance received appreciation from one of the residents from RT 04/03, Harapan Island Urban Village, Farida (47).
Getting the seedlings of this plant is very easy, just bring a photocopy of ID card and Family Card directly to the Docking location owned by the Seribu Islands KPKP Sub-agency.
"Thanks, I got one Mango tree and one Lime tree. I will plant them in my house's backyard," she admitted, Monday (4/28).
Another appreciation also came from the Sabira Island Karang Taruna Youth Organization Chairman, Gunawan (38).
He urged the locals to take care of the plants that have been given as they are useful for greening and their fruits can be enjoyed together.
"Tree is also important for making Sabira Island more shady, beautiful, and improving the air quality," he explained.
Seribu Islands KPKP Sub-agency Head, Nurliati explained the provided seedlings consisted of 15 breadfruit trees, eight jackfruit trees, nine mango trees, and five sapodilla trees.
Also three Bilimbi trees, six Calamondin trees, twelve Lime trees, eleven Water Guava trees, five Starfruit trees, and five Guava trees.
"In total, we distributed 79 seedlings of productive trees to locals. Each household receive two trees for free," she explained.
She hoped that they could utilize it well, thus food security is maintained and make the Seribu Islands greener through the use of yard land.
"The distribution of this tree's seeds is still ongoing on each island and is adjusted following the residents' demands. Previously, we sent 200 tree seedlings to Panggang Island and Kelapa Island," she admitted.
