The Jakarta Public Order Agency (Satpol PP) from Kebayoran Lama Sub-district, South Jakarta, seized 1,001 pills of drugs from one of the drug and cosmetic shops on Jalan Ciputat Raya, Kebayoran Lama Utara Urban Village.

Kebayoran Lama Satpol PP Head, Dian Citra said the illegal drugs are sold without a doctor's prescription.

"We did this in response to complaints from residents who are concerned about the rampant circulation of illegal drugs from this store," she expressed, Thursday (4/24).

She explained all the drugs would be used as evidence. This was done to enforce Bylaw Number 8/2007 on Public Order

"We made a dossier for the owners or called yellow card for a minor trial (tipiring) in court," she explained.

At the same time, the same action were also taken against two other sellers who violated the rules.

"Hope our action can anticipate negative things in the environment, especially the circulation of illegal drugs among students or teenagers," sh e hoped.

The action received appreciation from one of the residents, Santoso (46).

"Indeed, residents have complained about that shops. We ask the authorities to give a stern warning to the owner," he stressed.
